Commissioned by the UCD Societies Council in 2012, the bronze bust stands at the entrance to The FitzGerald Chamber, a debating chamber named after of the former Taoiseach, UCD lecturer and student. The FitzGerald Debating Chamber is located on the first floor of the UCD Sport Fitness Student Centre on Belfield Campus, Dublin. Unveiled by Dr. Maurice Manning, Chancellor of the National University of Ireland, in 2012.
With the kind permission of the UCD Societies Council, a replica of the Dr. FitzGerald sculpture was commissioned by The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for their Head Office in Iveagh House, Dublin, in 2015 to mark the 30 year anniversary of the signing of the Anglo Irish Agreement.
