A sight familiar to all Dubliners, the chimneys of the Pigeon House generating station, are visible over much of Dublin. Located at Poolbeg penninsula, Ringsend, on the south bank of Dublin Port, and seen here from Sandymount strand, the chimneys are among the tallest structures in Ireland, just over 207 metres tall.
